Now every day I smash, break and cut plates, unglazed ceramics, shiny glass tiles, stone & marble, Venetian smalti, gold & silver mirrors. Then I glue all the fragments together to create unique mosaic artwork of all kinds and shapes… and I love it.”

LANDSCAPE PAINTINGS Landscape paintings
  Sophie Verrechia paints using tiles. Each broken piece of ceramic is a brush stroke, a mark on the canvas. Wall artworks of abstract compositions mixing all kinds of materials: tiles, pottery, glass, found bits and pieces, industrial rusting abandoned objects.

I love giving a second chance to some neglected pieces of furniture; finding an abandoned rusty metal shelf, table or a charming timber chest of drawers, and then transforming them into an useful beautiful object again.

Working to your own visions and needs. When you are renovating your house, I can personalize the front of your bathtub, kitchen splashback or garden retaining wall.

Ask me to mosaic the name or number of your house. Lend me your disused metal garden table, I will mosaic the top, making it fit into your home environment. Give me your chipped beloved plates, I will turn them into some unique pieces of mosaic just for you.
